In 2014, they commissioned KLJ to design the renovation of the existing event center and design a new event center adjacent to the casino. Four Bears Casino and Lodge attempted to accommodate this demand, but were unable to book desired events due to their limited capacity. Due to the region’s rise in population the casino was experiencing a growing demand for a larger venue and better entertainment options. with the right management and marketing this place could be a perfect get away destination.Located in New Town, ND 4 Bears Casino and Lodge serves as the ultimate destination for gaming, entertainment, and luxurious lakeside cabins for visitors. Their tribal counsel should send some out to look at Sky Ute in Colorado Ignacio, Casino del Sol in Tucson or one of the many Indian Casino’s in CA. Too sad, because obviously someone is either NOT doing their JOB or they’re POCKETING the money earmarked for the management and up-keep on this place. we’ve been to way nicer Casinos on less financially fortunate reservations. BUT only because we couldn’t find a vacancy elsewhere for that particular night. too crazy We were booked to stay there for 4 nights, we had to stay for 1.

also while we were there we observed some people in a truck, trying to water what was left of their landscaping with a tattered old truck, and a bashed in plastic water tank mounted in the bed.

but mostly is was dirt patches with a little grass here and there.

as what grass remained around the property was brown and dying. they also don’t appear to have an irrigation system for the grass. On the main casino floor the windows were dirty and everything was dated and worn. The elevator smelled like someone urinated in it, and the chrome walls had spill stains running down the walls & floor buttons. the furniture in our room had cigarette burns even though we were in a non smoking room, and everything else was either dirty, worn or chipped. the fixtures had lime and green scale build up, and the shower was stained and chipped. the bathroom counters in our room were faded and scratched up. is about all I can say, for one of the wealthiest Native American Tribes in the US, you have to wonder who’s managing this resource.
